Can Activity Based Education Systems Prepare Children for The Modern Workplace?
Modern workplaces are integrating and changing for the better, through the implementation of Activity Based Working (ABW). This is a change that current employees are learning to adapt to, after being raised in a world that holds very different traditional expectations of the working environment.
If this is the future of the workplace, should we be changing the education system to implement the same strategies? This modern expectation of an ABW environment should be encouraged and prepared for with an education system that aligns with it and sets the right expectations.
The traditional education system prepared children for the traditional workplace, so why use the traditional education system when it no longer aligns with modern workplace expectations?
With this mindset, Hubb researched what educational systems are being currently implemented. A great example of this is WeGrow. WeGrow is an educational community basing their education system on the values of ABW through the ‘6 pillars of growth’ and the modern beliefs of nurturing the children’s mind and soul.
Could this be the way of the future in preparing today’s children for tomorrows workplace expectations? We would love to hear your thoughts on this topic and if you believe this is the right direction for your children.
