Workplace Trends: What’s Here to Stay

Last week we discussed modern workplace trends that just aren’t working for organisations and need reconsideration.
This week, I want to discuss with you those better trends that I believe should stay and gain greater recognition.

  1. Remote working
A lot of organisations are now allowing staff members to be able to work off-site, either through hot-desking, coworking spaces, or from home. It has become a huge element in staff attraction and retention as it allows better workplace flexibility, especially for those working with families. It also is shown to boost productivity and organisational loyalty.
  2. Upskilling opportunities
There is now a better solution to bridging the talent gap, rather than consistently hiring new individuals. Considering your current employees and offering training programs and guidance’s will train them to be able to tackle current issues of the organisation, and will facilitate a multifaceted employee group, whilst also improving the organisations knowledge and productivity at a lesser cost.
  3. Technology advancements
This is a trend that is one of the most notable, and also the one which will most likely stick around for a long time. Technological advancements are seen to be growing exponentially and taking that on in your organisation is a trend to be reckoned with. Embracing technological improvements can boost communication and workflow, whilst also creating more opportunities.
